Teaching of the Twelve Apostles

The Didache — Greek for “teaching” — is almost certainly the oldest surviving Christian text outside the New Testament. Written between 50 and 120 AD, it was read alongside scripture in many early churches and was seriously considered for inclusion in the canon. Then it vanished. For fifteen centuries, Christians knew the Didache only by name, quoted in lists of disputed texts.
