The Hypostasis of the Archons — literally, the Reality of the Rulers — retells Genesis from the perspective of humanity’s enslavement. The Archons are blind cosmic rulers who created the material world in ignorance and who seek to keep human souls trapped within it. The serpent in the Garden is not Satan but an agent of true wisdom. Eve is not the source of the fall but the bearer of divine light.
